Legal Ease
Why
This program provides legal information, legal resources and support throughout the court process to economically challenged women and girls who are involved in the legal system. EFry believes that an individual is in the best position to navigate her way through a very complex and intimidating legal system when she has the knowledge, information, resources and support to make informed decisions.
What
- One-on-one support
- Legal information on a wide variety of issues including:
- criminal, family and civil court
- landlord/tenant disputes
- victim assistance
- restraining orders
- pardons
- municipal bylaw and provincial offences (trespassing, loitering, obstructing, and C-Train tickets)
- warrants
- Fine Options and fine payments
- extensions and requesting time to pay
